Experimental Research Of Pueraria And Scutellariae Barbatae Curing Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma (NPC)

Background:Nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC)is one of the most common malignant tumors and threatening people's health seriously in guangxi autonomous region of zhuang.Objective:The aim of this topic is to find out the role of Pueraria and Scutellariaebarbatae curing the NPC through using the technique of the cell biology and the molecular biology and Scutellariaebarbatae is done through the pharmacology of serum.Methods:Recently many NPC cell lines have been screened in China,for example,CNE-1,CNE-2,SUNE-1 and 5-8F et al.We used MTT method,ATP method,flow cytometer(FCM)method and electronic microscope method to do the experiment about Pueraria and Scutellariaebarbatae curing the NPC. Pueraria cured the NPC with direct effect and Scutellariae barbatae cured the NPC with extracting the serum after giving the rat intragastric administration.Results:In MTT and ATP methods,Pueraria might inhibit the growth of NPC cells and The inhibition was dose-dependent.Scutellariae barbatae might also inhibit the growth of NPC cells and the inhibition is not dose-dependent in the experiment.In FCM method,Pueraria and Scutellariae barbatae might both make NPC cells stop in the period of G₁.In electronic microscope method, Pueraria and Scutellariae barbatae might both induce apoptosis of NPC cells.Conclusion:Our studies manifested that Pueraria and Scutellariae barbatae may both inhibit the growth of NPC cell and they can cause apoptosis of NPC cells.
