Objectivea:To investigate the association between carotid atherosclerosis(CA) and lacunar infarction(LI)in hypertensives. Methods:Hypertensives who had hospitalized during 2005-2006 year were choosed, according to the diagnosis standard suggested by WHO in2004I[SBP≥140mmHg,DBP≥90mmHg(1mmHg=0.133Kpa)], some cases were excluded who has secondary hypertension, diabetes mellitus, atrial fibrillation, and other cerebral vascular disease or has cerebral stroke history. The level of their blood pressure were measured, the history of their blood pressure were recorded, their blood serum lipid and apolipoprotein were detected in the blood of peripheral vein. According to the diagnosis standard of lacunar infarction suggested by the Fourth National Institute of Cerebralvascular Disease, the cases were given CT or MRI(The diametermaxof infarction<1.5cm)and Carotid Color Doppler examination. Results: hypertensives without lacunar infarction(91 patients)and hypertensives with lacunar infarction(111 patients).Logistic regression analysis indicated that increased systolic blood pressure, decreased apoA were correlated to lacunar infarction in hypertensives (P<0.05),The history high blood pressure were correlated to lacunar infarction in hypertensives. The number of carotid artery with plaque in hypertensives with lacunar infarction was more than that in hypertensives without lacunar infarction(P<0.005);(4) The mean diameter of right common carotid artery and internal carotid artery in hypertensives without lacunar infarction were more than those in hypertension with lacunar infarcttion(P<0.05);.the mean pulse index of common carotid artery and resistance index of left common carotid artery in hypertensives with lacunar infarction were higher than those in hypertensives without lacunar infarction(P<0.05). Gonclusions:The increased systolic blood pressure, the decreased apoA,the history high blood pressure delayed, the developed plaque in carotid artery, the reduced diameter, the increased pulse index and the resistance index were correlated to lacunar infarction in hypertensives. |
