Objective To explore the effect of compound preparation of glutamine on mental and physical fatigue in rats with experimental seasickness . Methods First, the seasickness rats were treated with different components of glutamine compound preparation, so that the best component of compound preparation can be got. Then the best component of compound preparation was divided into low, medium and high three dose group (the medium dose group is the same as the former corresponding compound preparation), with which the seasickness rats were treated. Results 1. Compared with the control group, in some interfered groups, the swimming time was prolonged significantly, and learn memory ability was enhanced significantly; the muscle and hepatic glycogen was increased significantly; the brain and serum lactic acid was decreased significantly. 2. Different dose compound preparation can affected the seasickness rat's behavior parameters and biochemical parameters significantly, but there was no difference among them. Conclusions The glutamine compound preparation can resist the fatigue induced by seasickness in rats effectively. Different dose glutamine compound preparations have anti-fatigue effect, but there is no difference between them, so the low dose can be used as a potential measure to alleviate fatigue induced by seasickness.
