APACHEⅡ And APACHEⅢ In Hepatectomy

Objective: To study the correlation between APACHEâ…¡,APACHEâ…¢score and hepatectomy mortality , the incidence of postoperation complications . To evaluate the ability of APACHEâ…¡,APACHEâ…¢to predict postoperation ICU and ward time, hospital expense of hepatectomy.Methods: 104 cases suffered from hepatectomy in our hospital from November 2002 to November 2005 were enrolled into the study. Calculate APACHEâ…¡and APACHEâ…¢score by Knaus method, analysis scores and mortality ,postoperation complication, ICU and ward time and hospital expense.Results: The scores of APACHEâ…¡and APACHEâ…¢of only dead patient is highest . The incidence of postoperation complications in high score group is significantly higher than in low score group(P>0.05). The scores of APACHEâ…¡and APACHEâ…¢are positively correlated with postoperation ICU and ward time, hospital expense of hepatectomy. The higher the APACHE scores, the longer postoperation ICU time and ward time, the more the hospital expense.Conclusion: APACHEâ…¡and APACHEâ…¢can predict the risk of operation, can predict and direct prophylaxis postoperation complication. APACHEâ…¡and APACHEâ…¢have the ability to prognose postoperation ICU and ward time, hospital expense of hepatectomy patients, is a reasonable and effective prediction system.
