The Chemical Separation Of Longan's Seed And The Research Of Longan Seed And Longan Hull's Anti-oxidation

Objective:Longan(Dimocarpus longan lour.)is a spcies of Soapberry family.In order to isolate individual chemical constituents of Longan,to analysis their molecular structure and to determine the anti-oxidation's activity of longan seed and longan hull,the experiments were done as follows.Methods:Longan's compounds were isolated by processes that components were extracted by different organic solvents and isolated and purified by methods of colomn chromatography and recrystallizition.Structure of compounds isolated were analyzed by spectroscopic data including IR,¹H-NMR, ¹³C-NMR and MS.For the determination of antioxidation of longan seed and longan hull,lipid peroxidation induced by cysteine-Fe²⁺system experimentation was done upon ethanol extract,partitions from petroleum ether,ethyl acetate, and butanol in the longan seed and longan hull,combined fractions from column chromatography of the ethyl acetate partition of longan seed.Scavenging of hydroxyl radicals experimentation was done upon fractions from column chromatography of the ethyl acetate partition of longan seed.Conclusions:As a result from these endeavors,we identified 4 of compounds respectively as pentacosane(1),stigmasterol(3),bis(5-formylfurfuryl) ether(4),ethyl gallat(6).The compounds were isolated from this plant for the first time.Another compound is still have to be identified.The results of anti-oxidation suggested that the fractions from column chromatography of the ethyl acetate partition of longan seed have relatively powerful antioxidant activities.
