Objective: To investigate the expression levels and relationship with ovarianendometriosis pathogenesis of the mismatch repair genes hMLH1mRNA in XinjiangUygur and Han population. Methods: To collect the ectopic endometrial tissue (ectopicendometrium group), eutopic endometrial tissue (eutopic endometrium group) and normalendometrial tissue (normal control group) of Uygur, Han patients with ovarianendometriosis in Xinjiang. Real-time quantitative PCR (qRT-PCR) method is used toanalyse the hMLH1gene expression of various endometrial tissue. Results: The hMLH1mRNA expression levels show no difference in secretion phase and proliferation phase ofendometrial (P>0.05); M, Q of hMLH1mRNA expression both in ectopic endometriumand eutopic endometrium of Uighur group are0.126,0.072and0.109,0.120respectively,there is no statistical significance between the two groups (P>0.05); M, Q of hMLH1mRNA expression both in ectopic endometrium and eutopic endometrium of Han groupare0.181,0.222and0.209,0.270respectively, there is no statistical significance betweenthe two groups (P>0.05); M, Q of hMLH1mRNA expression both in ectopicendometrium group and control group endometrium of Uighur people are0.109,0.120and0.180,0.306respectively, M, Q of hMLH1mRNA expression both in ectopicendometrium group and control group endometrium of Han people are0.209,0.270and0.286,0.309respectively. hMLH1mRNA expression shows differences between eutopicendometrium group and control groups. There is ethnic differences in hMLH1mRNAexpression between Han and Uighur people. Conclusion: The different expression ofhMLH1in eutopic endometrium and ectopic endometrial tissue in the Xinjiang Uygurwomen and Han women with ovarian endometriosis may be related to the pathogenesy ofovarian endometriosis.
