objectives To explore the levels of sIgE and T lymphocyte subsets in asthmatic children, and discuss their relation. Method To choose 30 children with acute asthma attacks, disease control (bronchopneumonias) group (25 cases) and healthy control group (14 cases). Enzyme- immunoassay could detect the levels of sIgE and total IgE in the peripheral blood from the patients and normal subjects.Flow cytomerty was used to analyze the T lymphocyte subsets in them too. Result The positive rate of the asthma patients 's total IgE and sIgE were significantly higher than that in the control. The positive rate of dust mite and powder mite were both highest, and the older the children, the higher the positive rate. The patients of the every degree whose CD 4~+ T cell and CD 4~+/CD 8~+ were all significantly higher than that in normal control. Conclusion 1.Detecting the level of sIgE as an important reference index sign is useful in the diagnosis of asthma. 2.Dust mite and powder mite are the main allergen of most prevalence in children with asthma.3.CD 4~+ T cell plays an important role in asthma chronic airway inflammation.4.There were no significant difference in the level of CD4~+ T cell,CD8~+ T cell,CD4~+/CD8~+ between the patients with asthma of light degree and those of medium or heavy degree group, and CD 8~+ T cell heightened slightly, this result still needs further research.
