Objective To study the express status of CCR3 and CXCR4 in allergic rhinitis, and analyze their relationship between the pathogenesis of allergic rhinitis and CCR3 and CXCR4.Methods The specimens of forty-one patients with allergic rhinitis and thirty-six control subjects were studied by immunohistochemical method to detect CCR3+ cell and CXCR4+ cell. All data were analyzed with t-test.Results The number of CCR3+ cells and CXCR4+ cells in the nasal mucosa of patients with allergic rhinitis was significantly more than that in the controls(p<0.05).The number of CCR3+ cells in the nasal mucosa was correlated with the number of CXCR4+ cells(r=0.588,p<001).Conclusion This study suggests that CCR3 and CXCR4 are overly expression in nasal mucosa of patients with allergic rhinitis, the expression level of CCR3 and CXCR4 is relational with the allergic rhinitis. And the antagonist of CCR3 and CXCR4 may become a novel therapeutic approach of allergic rhinitis.
