Silk is the most waste in producing fabrics and is valuable materials protein resource. Studies have proved that fibroin can be used for membrane,fiber and many other materials. In this paper, blend membranes and multi-layer drug-load Membranes prepared of silk fibroin/ carboxymethyl chitosan blend solution is studied and investigated, then drug loaded membranes were prepared with ornidazole as a model drug. Because of the existence of amide in the molecule of carboxymethyl chitosan,the molecule of carboxymethyl chitosan can form the hydrogen bond with amide, carboxyl and hydroxyl of silk fibroin during the molecule to prevent the silk protein molecule from being hydrogen bond, which can improve the performance of structure of silk fibroin and could be the candidate materials for biomedical applications.In this paper, studies on several kinds of silk fibroin/ carboxymethyl chitosan mix membranes and multi-layer drug-load membranes, the structure and surfacial morphology of the membranes such as water absorption,water vapor transmission were studied.The results showed that silk fibroin and carboxymethyl chitosan in the mix membranes was good compatibility between the two biomaterials. In the membranes of silk fibroin and carboxymethyl chitosan mix membranes, they formed hydrogen bonds to decrease the hydrogen bonds of peptides of silk fibroin itself. The preparation process of silk fibroin and carboxymethyl chitosan, blend reaction temperature on the impact of control temperature, dissolved in 70℃best. The mechanical properties of mix membranes were better when fibroin content was 25%. Additives, when adding glycerin, the content of glycerin was 15%, glutaraldehyde concentration was 0.1%,it was better when the join temperature was 35℃. Studies on drug-load membranes, compared the drug-load mix membranes with the multi-layer drug-load Membranes , fracture strength of fibroin membranes is worse than carboxymethyl chitosan membranes, down slightly. Fracture strength of double composite drug-load membranes between them. The moisture content of the drug-load membranes is larger significance. The moisture content of the drug-load can blend with the trend of change in the same mix membranes, but in less than mix membranes. The medicine release of drug-load mix membranes show: multi-layer drug-load membranes have good medicine release. The content of glutaraldehyde was at 0.1% when medicine release was much better.
