Objective: To measure the part of plants in Xinjiang metallothionein(MT) contents, filtering out four kinds of plants with higher levels of MT category extract, and observed four kinds of plants MT extract with intervent cadmium poisoning mice. Method: UV spectrophotometer for plant selection, and use of cadmium - hemoglobin saturation method and flame atomic absorption(AAS) method on part of plants in the MT content and trace elements were determined. MT selected high content of the plants, then animals, use Kunming mice were randomly divided into 6 groups, cadmium group, the blank group and four intervention groups (Bachu mushrooms, black grass, nectarine, Pleurotus ostreatus, the metallothionein extract on mice gavage). 14 days ago, to measure of renal tissue cadmium ion content, liver and kidney tissue of malondialdehyde (MDA) and superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity, serum Catalase(CAT) activity and the content of MDA, observed the mouse kidney and kidney changes in the ultrastructure of pathological changes. Using single cell gel electrophoresis test mice DNA strand breaks in peripheral blood lymphocytes. Result: 1) the species of plants of options contained in MT, including Bachu mushrooms, nectarine, black mushroom four kinds of plants with higher levels. The part of trace elements in plants Cu2+, Zn2+ with the content of the MT in the relevance of the positive correlation(r=0.69, r=0.67). Intervention group liver and kidney SOD and MDA and CAT activity in serum and MDA content with the positive control group were significantly different, and the differences are statistically significant(P<0.05). 2) the intervention group mouse liver tissue metallothionein protein content than the cadmium group and the blabk group increased significantly(P<0.05). 3) The intervention group of trace elements in mouse liver tissue Zn2+, Cu2+ content than cadmium group were significantly increased(P<0.05). 4) the intervention group than abnormal renal tissue ultrastructure of the positive control group improved significantly. Liver metallothionein content and Zn2+ ion in a positive correlation(r=0.593). Conclusion: to measure part of the plants in xinjiang local production contain metallothionein,which of the Bachu mushrooms,the black grass, nectarine, Pleurotus ostreatus contained metallothionein hightly. The animal experiments showed that the Bachu mushrooms, the black grass, the nectarine, the Pleurotus ostreatus of exogenous plant metallothionein-like protein extract cadmium toxicity has some intervention.
