Objective: To investigate the level of 14 kinds of food allergic specific IgG antibody in Henoch-Schonlein purpura, chronic urticaria and chronic diarrhea patients'serum, to provide scientific bases for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods: 148 patients suffering from allergic diseases were observed, including 80 cases with Henoch-Schonlein purpura, 24 cases with chronic urticaria and 44 cases with chronic diarrhea. Then they were divided into group I and group II separately according to the order of visiting doctors randomly. Patients in group I detected food allergic specific IgG antibody, that in group II did not. Moreover, 20 healthy persons were included in group control. People in group I and group control detected food specific IgG by the method of ELISA and the data in each group was analyzed. The patients in group I were directed in die. Then group I and group II were compared with each other in the curative efficiency, relapse rate and losing weight. Results: The positive rate of food allergic specific IgG in Henoch-Schonlein purpura (77.50%),chronic urticaria (83.33%) and chronic diarrhea patients (81.82%) were much higher than healthy people (25.00%) (P<0.05). The percentage of patients who had more than two kinds of food specific IgG positive was 86.44%, and 2 to 4 kinds of food specific IgG positive was very commen. In most patients, the positive rate and sensitivity to cow's milk and egg were the highest, and the positive rate to mushroom, pork and chicken were very low.In Henoch-Schonlein purpura group, patients in group I who adjusting diet according to the result of food specific IgG detection could achieve the same curative effect as those in group II who control diet strictly, but they had lower relapse rate and less percentage of losing weight; In chronic urticaria group, patients in group I who avoiding allergic food according to the result of food specific IgG detection had the same curative effect in 20 Days with patients in group II who didn't control diet, and better curative effect in 2 Months than the latter ,and elective diet control didn't result in losing weight. In chronic diarrhea group, patients in group I had better curative effect and lower relapse rate than patients in group II,and also elective diet control didn't result in losing weight. Conclusion: 1.The positive rate of food allergic specific IgG in Henoch-Schonlein purpura, chronic urticaria and chronic diarrhea patients is much higher than healthy people. It shows that those diseases above-mentioned are related to IgG induced food allergy. And food allergy induced by IgG may have following characteristics: several foods induced, insidious onste, delayed occurrence and complicated clinical manifestation. 2.As a new food allergen detecting method, food allergic specific IgG detecting is very sensitive and easy to operate. It will provid more information obout food allergy.3. Adjusting diet according to the result of detection could improve curative effect in those related diseases ,reduce relapse rate and will not lead to lose weight in short term .
