Objective:To evaluate the clinic effect of mild hypothermia beating-heart cardiopulmonary bypass in the treatment of ruptured aneurysm of the sinus of valsalva through the clinical data analysis of 55 patients with ruptured aneurysm of the sinus of valsalva. Methods:The data of 55 patients hospitalized from January 2001 to May 2007 in our department was collected. The 55 patients diagnosed ruptured aneurysm of the sinus of valsalva were divided into two groups(beating-heart group and arrested-heart group). The data of age, weight, gender, cardiothoracic ratio, cardiac function, duration of procedure, duration of CPB,blood loss, lowest temperature during procedure, dose of dopamine, mechanical respiratory assistance,CCU stay, hospitalization day between two groups was compared. The data was evaluated by Chi-square test and two-group T-test. P<0.05 indicated significant. Results:There was no statistical difference in age, weight, gender, cardiothoracic ratio, cardiac function between two groups(P>0.05).Duration of procedure.blood loss,CCU stay.hospitalization day between two groups also have no statistical difference(P>0.05). The duration of CPB,lowest temperature during procedure, dose of dopamine, mechanical respiratory assistance of beating-heart group were superior to those of arrested-heart group(P<0.05). Conclusion:The mild hypothermia beating-heart CPB has advantage in myocardial protection and lung protection. The mild hypothermia beating-heart CPB is a safe and effective technique applied to ruptured aneurysm of the sinus of valsalva.
