Expression And Significance Of FHIT And Survivin In The Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia And Cervical Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Objective:To study the expression and significance of FHIT and Survivin in cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN)and cervical squamous cell carcinoma(CSCC).Furthermore to discuss the role and relationship of them during the occruence and development in the CSCC and provide effective makers in detection,diagnosis,treatment and prognosis in CSCC.Method:The S-P immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression of FHIT and Survivin in 20 cases of cervical carcinoma tissue,42 cases of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and 63 cases of CSCC.Detect the expression rate of FHIT and Svurvivn with pearson's chi-squre and Fisher's exact test and detect the result of prognosis with Kaplan-Meier survival analysis.Detecting the correlation of FHIT and Survivin with chi-square and correlation analysis.Result:1)The expression of FHIT and Survivin in chronic cervical inflammation,CIN and cervical cancer(1)The absent of expression in FHIT has an increasing trend from inflammation,CIN to cervical carcinoma.The proportions of absent expression of FHIT were 5%,30.95%,63.5%.There is different significant in all the columns.(2)The expression of Survivin has an increasing trend from inflammation,CIN to cervical carcinoma.The proportions of expression in the columns were 5%,45.24%,67.8%.There is different significant in all the columns.2)The relationship between expression of FHIT.Survivin and clinical pathologic parameters(the rate of abscent expression of FHIT is equal to the positive rate)(1)The relationship between abscent expression of FHIT and clinical pathologic parameters:None of the clinical pathologic parameters showed a correlation with FHIT expression.(P＞0.05)(2)The relationship between abscent expression of Survivin and clinical pathologic parameters:Expression of Survivin in CSCC has the significant correlations with tumor differention(P＜0.05),clinical stage(P＜0.05)and lymphatic metastasis(P＜0.05). 3)About prognosis(1)The positive expression of FHIT is equal to the negative in survival rate. (p＞0.05).(2)The positive expression of Surivin is lower than the negative in survival rare(p＜0.05).4)The relationship between FHIT and SurvivinCorrelations was also found between FHIT aberrant expression and Survivin expression in CSCC((p＜0.05).Conelusion 1)FHIT and CSCC(1)FHIT aberrant expression occurred in CIN and it can be used as a marker in the detection of CSCC in an earlier stage;none of the clinical pathologic parameters showed a correlation with FHIT expression,which showed FHIT has changed in the previous stage of cervical cancer,it's an earlier event in the genesis of CSCC and it can be used as a marker in the screening cervical cancer.(2)The positive expression of FHIT is equal to the negative in survival rate,which suggests FHIT expression is independence with prognosis in CSCC(p＞0.05).2)Survivin and CSCC(1)Survivin expression occurred in CIN and it can be used as a mark in the detection of CSCC in an earlier stage;Survivin is correlated with pathology grade,clinical stage,lymph node metastasis,which showed it may take part in tumorigenesis,invasion,and metastasis of cervical squamous cell cancer.(2)The positive expression of Surivin is lower than the negative in survival rate,which suggests Surivin expression is related with prognosis in CSCC(p＜0.05).2)The relationship of FHIT and Survivin Correlations was also found between FHIT aberrant expression and Survivin expression in CSCC((p＜0.05),which showed FHIT and Survivin may play important roles togetherin the occurrence and development of CSCC.
