Objective:To investigate the correlation and expression of Fragile histidine triad gene (FHIT), P53 and Proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA)'s expressed in normal cervix, Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN), Cervical cancer (CC),and the signifi-cance of FHIT, P53 and PCNA in the clinical diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of cervical cancer. Methods:It was performed immunohistochemical analyses of formalin fixed, paraffin-embedded 20 normal cervical(NC) biopsies,20 CINâ… samples,25 CINâ…¡samp-les,25 CINâ…¢samples and 60 cervical cancer samples to detect FHIT,P53 and PCNA expression.Results:1. FHIT expressed 100% (20/20) of normal cervical,60% (12/20) of CINâ… ,40%(10/25) of CINâ…¡,24%(6/25) of CINâ…¢and 3.3% (2/60) of cervical cancer;positive rate ware compared among the groups were different.(P<0.05).2.P53 positive expressed in 0%(0/20) of normal cervical, 25% (5/20) of CINâ… ,36% (9/25) of CINâ…¡,56%(14/25) of CINâ…¢and 70% (42/60) of cervical cancer; positive rate ware compared among the groups were different (P<0.05).3. PCNA positive expressed in 0% (0/20) of normal cervical,30% (6/20) of CINâ… ,56%(14/25) of CINâ…¡,76%(19/25) of CINâ…¢and 96.7% (58/60) of cervical cancer; positive rate ware compared among the groups were different (P<0.05).4. FHIT and P53, PCNA expression was negatively correlated between CIN and cervical cancer in the cervix(P<0.05).Conclusions:1.FHIT deletion and P53 over expression in the pathogensis and develop-ment of cervical cancer are negatively correlated; which played an important role in the prognosis diagnosis and treatment of cervical cancer.2. PCNA's over expression and FHIT deletion are negatively correlated in the pathogensis and development of cervical cancer. They may used to be the monito-ring of CIN and cervical cancer's prognosis.3. P53 and PCNA are related to the development and pathogensis of cervical cancer. P53 and PCNA's over-expression may play an important role in the main reasons of leading to malignant cell proliferation and tumorigenesis.4. FHIT, P53 and PCNA's expression in cervical intraepithelial neoplasiaâ… -â…¢have significant change, which may used to be an early screening diagnosis and treatment in cervic...
