Objective:Angiopathy is the main and chronic complications of diabetes, in which macrovascular disease is the important reasons for death of diabetes. Oxidative stress is the basic cause resulted in diabetes complications. Objective to compare the levels of antibody against oxidized low density lipoproteins in subjects with varying glucose tolerances, and to observe the correlations between antibodies against oxidized low density lipoproteins and homeostasis model assessment insulin resistance(HOMA-IR) and glycosylated hemoglobin, so as to further explain the relationship between the high glucose,oxidative stress and diabetic vascular complication.Methods:Measuring glucose tolerance test and general biochemical test, history taking and physical examinations. The antibodies against oxidized low density lipoproteins(Ab-ox-LDL) were detected by ELISA in 35 of healthy controls (normal glucose tolerance,NGT ),41 of imparied glucose tolerance(IGT),50 of type 2 diabetes without complications(DM-CAD) and 24 of type 2 diabetic macroangiopathy patients (DM+CAD) .The levels of blood glucose, lipid, and the function of kidney and liver were detected by enzymology method.. FINS was detected by radioimmunoassay (RIA). Blood sugar ferrohemoglobin (HbA-1c) was measured by aminophenylborate gel affinity chromatography . HOMA-IR = (FBG×FINS) / 22.5.Results:1. The serum antibodies against oxidized low density lipoproteins was(11.83±3.00) U/mlin (DM±CAD) subject, (16.11±4.23) U/ml in (DM -CAD)subject, (23.31±4.63) U/ml in IGT subject, (25.12±4.94) U/ml in NGTsubject. The serum antibodies against oxidized low density lipoproteins level of(DM+CAD) was lower than that in(DM - CAD) , NGT and IGT. It' s concentration is gradually increased and have statistical significance(P <0. 01).Compared with IGT and NGT, the serum antibodies against oxidized low density lipoproteins level was lower in (DM -CAD) subject(both P <0. 01). Compared with NGT, the serum antibodies against oxidized low density lipoproteins level was lower in IGT (P <0. 05).2. The serum HbA-1c level was (8.96±2.27) %in (DM±CAD) subject, (7.02±1.73)% in (DM-CAD) subject, (5.45±0.33) % in IGT subject, (5.14±0.36) % in NGT subject(all P <0. 01).3. The HOMA-IR was (8.39±2.87) in (DM±CAD) subject, (5.22±2.12) in (DM-CAD) subject, (3.19±1.11) in IGT subject, (2.11±1.02) in NGT subject ( all P<0. 01).4. There was a significant negative correlation between the concentration of Ab-ox-LDL and HbA1C in (DM+CAD) ,(DM-CAD) subject, and there was no correlation between the concentration of Ab-ox-LDL and BML WC,WHR,SBP,DBP,FPG,FIN,TC,TG,LDL-C,HDL-C (P > 0. 05). There was a significant negative correlation between the concentration of Ab-ox-LDL and WC in NGT subject, and there was no correlation between the concentration of Ab-ox-LDL andBMI,WHR,SBP,DBP,FPG,FIN,TC,TG,LDL-C,HDL-C,HbAlC(P > 0.05).Conclusion:1. There was a positive correlation between the concentration of Ab-ox-LDL and the clinical occurrence of atherosclerosis, which suggested that autoimmunity playing an important role in the progress of atherosclerosis. Ab-ox-LDL may become an important index to evaluate the danger factors of atherosclerosis. There was no significant correlation between the concentration of Ab-ox-LDL and low density lipoprotein .So Ab-ox-LDL is a relatively independent forecast factor to atherosclerosis.2. The serum antibodies against oxidized low density lipoproteins has double effects of preventing and pathogenesis in the progress of atherosclerosis.3. Insulin Resistance throughout the progress of type 2 diabetes mellitus ,and has been existed since prediabetic state, and was aggravated gradually with the increase in levels of blood glucose.4. There was a positive correlation between the level of HbAlc and the serum antibodies against oxidized low density lipoproteins,which reflect the high glucose toxicity induced oxidative Stress and autoimmune reaction.5. All the analysis shows that there was a correlation between the pathogenic process and diabetic angiopathy and oxidative Stress and high glucose level.
