Magnolia officinalis Rend et Wils.is a Magnolia Linn.family plant.And it is often used in sedation,depressurization,broaden bronchus,heat-clearing and detoxicating,dissipating phlegm and stopping coughing,spasmolysis,anti-inflammatory etc.Magnolia officinalis Rend.et Wils.is widely used in clinical application,such as upper respiratory tract infection,whooping cough,conjunctivitis,oral cavity inflammation,odontalgia,food stasis,stomachache,ulcerative carbuncle,rheumatism and so on.Studied the extraction technics of the Magnolia officinalis Rend.et Wils. with ethanol from Hongkou village Dujiangyan.The effects of kinds of solvent, time,number of times on the extractive result of honokiol and magnolol were studied.The optimum ethanol extraction was selected.The results were as followed:soak the matrix by 75%ethanol(contrast to matrix 8:1 v/w)for 2 hours, 3 times.The rate of Hydroxybenzene extraction is 85.2%.At the same time,study the supercritical fluid extraction process of the Magnolia officinalis Rend.et Wils..Try to find a method adapt to the industrialization.The effects of entrainer,time,pressure,temperature,the flux of CO2,granularity,volume of entrainer concentration and pretreatment on the extractive result of honokiol and magnolol were studied.The curves of the influence factors were drawn.The optimum conditions for SFE-CO2 were selected with the aid of orthogonal design by using the content of Hydroxybenzene and the yield of extractor as quality control criteria.The results was as followed:soak the matrix by 85%ethanol(contrast to matrix 1:1 v/w),pressure 25Mpa,temperature 38℃,the rate flow of CO2 25L/h,time 4h.The rate of Hydroxybenzene extraction is 2.405%.Compared with the technology of traditional ethanol extraction,SFE-CO2 of Magnolia officinalis Rend.et Wils.was proved to be efficient,simple and save the extraction time.Meanwhile the extractor of SFE-CO2 has light color and remains the smell of original crude materials.The produce cost of SFE is lower than that of alcohol solvent extraction by preliminary economic accounting.SFE-CO2 is feasible to extract Magnolia officinalis Rend.et Wils..So the craft of the SFE-CO2 of Magnolia officinalis Rend.et Wils.is applicable.
