| Objective:To investigate the acu-wax's function on cerebral infarction patients with high muscular tension of limbs and effect of motor function and activites of daily living.Methods:Sixty patients were randomly divided into three groups.Group A is the control group,group B is the scalp acupuncture group,group C is the scalp acupuncture combined with wax group.Evaluated the extremity spasticity degree,motor function and the activites of daily living of every case before or after treatment.Result:1.After a period of treatment,the spasticity scores of all three groups were very significant,the scores were significant between group A and group B(P＜0.05),and the scores were significant between group B and group C(p＜0.05).2.After a period of treatment,the scores of motor function test were all increased,group A was less than group B and group C(P＜0.01),but there were not significant difference between group B and group C(P＞0.05).3.The activites of daily living were all increased,group A was less than group B and group C(P＜0.05),but there were not significant difference between group B and group C(P＞0.05).Conclusion:1.Treatment of scalp acupuncture combined with wax was a effective method which was superior to scalp acupuncture to the high muscular tension of cerebral infarction patfents.2.Treatment of scalp acupuncture combined with wax can effectively enhance the motor function of cerebral infarction patients with high muscular tension of limbs,has same efficacy to scalp acupuncture.3.Treatment of scalp acupuncture combined with wax can effectively enhance the activites of daily living of cerebral infarction patients with high muscular tension of limbs,has same efficacy to scalp acupuncture.
