| Traditional Chinese medicine is the summing-up of experiences of struggling against diseases by Chinese peoples during thousands of years, which has formed its unique theoretical system. The theory of emotions is an important component of psychology of traditional Chinese medicine. The emotion of anger, as one of the seven emotions, plays very important role in the occurrence, development and turnover of diseases.This article analyzes the physiological basis of the generation of anger emotion, the multiplicity of anger emotion, the variety and treatment of diseases caused by anger emotion through collection and summing-up of literatures involving anger emotion. The anger emotion makes qi, blood, essence and fluid as its physiological basis, and it can be influenced by climatic and social factors. Anger emotion has multiplicity; there is constitution which is easy to be angry; anger emotion often appears as a symptom in liver disease and epilepsy etc.; Anger emotion is a etiological factor; Anger emotion is an incentive for the recurrence of many diseases and occurrence of succeeding diseases; anger emotion can also be used as a therapeutic tool to cure emotion diseases such as depression syndrome and laughter syndrome. The diseases caused by anger emotion are widespread, involving clinical departments as internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, pediatry, andrology, orthopaedics and traumatology, ophthalmology and otorhinolaryngology, dermatology, psychiatry etc. Diseases caused by anger emotion can be treated by drug therapy, psychotherapy of traditional Chinese medicine, and acupuncture etc.The medical records of traditional Chinese medicine are the record of the process of traditional Chinese medicine's treatment according to syndrome differentiation, which have described the cause of disease, the pathogenesis, diagnosis, therapeutic principle, therapeutic method, formula and herbs, turnover, as well as the dosage of drugs, method of processing drugs and administration etc., and which are the quintessence of the traditional Chinese medicine practice. There are abundant medical records of the prevention and cure of diseases caused by anger emotion and treating diseases by anger emotion in the ancient books of traditional Chinese medicine of past dynasties. In the Warring States Period, there is a record of curing disease with anger emotion; in the era of Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, medical specialists made large amount of medical records of preventing and curing diseases caused by anger emotion, summed precious experiences. In modern times, there are more knowledge about anger emotion causing diseases, and there are detailed records and discussions about diagnosis and treatment of animal's diseases caused by anger emotion.Along with the rapid development of computer technology, telecommunication technology and network technique, the digitization of ancient books of traditional Chinese medicine has become an inexorable trend. Construction of special database of traditional Chinese medicine ancient books is in favor of the utilization of traditional Chinese medicine ancient books and dissemination of traditional Chinese medicine knowledge. The second part of this article introduces the construction of database for the medical records from ancient books involving anger emotion; Making the digested books, monographs of medical record, comprehensive medical books and medical records relating to anger emotion for collection, arrange, sum up, make standard recording and indexing processes. Using digital DIPS system from National Library of China as database processing platform, build the database of ancient books involving anger emotion. It provides multi-aspect browsing and retrieving function, which can browse according to classifications, classified navigation searching, full text retrieval, second gradual retrieval, multi-field logic corporation retrieval and expanded retrieval based on thesaurus to carry out rapid retrieval of information about anger emotion in ancient books. By the aid of database, Inquiry can be made through the name of disease, the function of anger emotion, anger expression, medical books, formula and Chinese drugs etc. These inquiries provide convenience for the research of anger emotion, especially it brings function of anger emotion and anger expression into inquiry, which is one of the distinctnesses of this database.
