Main Pharmacodynamics Study On Miao Fu Ling Burn Ointment

MiaoFuling Burns Ointment (MFLBO), with 100 years' history in the treatment of burns and scalds and a good reputation, adopts the secret prescription handed down in the Zengs', a famous Chinese medicine aristocratic family in Guangdong Province. We have made unceasing and incessant improvements and the innovations in the extraction process and the preparation craft in the past years and finally, we succeed in making MFLBO, which has been proved to be more stable and easier to be operated.To better promote this medicinal ointment, by referring to The Guide of New Drug of TCM, Methodology on Pharmacology of TCM and Methodology on Pharmacology of Experiment, contrasted by Moist Exposed Burn Ointment (EMBO), the present paper has conducted a research on its the main pharmacodynamics, including such experiments as burn wound healing, anti-inflammation, analgesia, anti-bacterial, anti-infection, blood circulation removing extravasted blood function, skin sensibility and irritant experiment.The experiment results are as follows.Every dosage of MFLBO has obvious anti-inflammatory effect on mouse ear swelling experiment by Xylene and rats paws induced inflammatory Carrageenan. There is anti-inflammatory effect in swelled paws experiment 5 minutes after being applied the ointment. The effect can maintain over 6 hours on medium and high dosages.There is apparent analgesia effect in the experiment of mice hot plate and Acetic Acid analgesia. The validity analgesia time can achieve over 2 hours in hot plate inducing-pain experiment.The vitro anti-bacterial experiment shows that MFLBO has good anti-bacterial effect on streptococcus aurous, pseudomonas aeruginosa, large intestine Egypt hopes the bacillus and White rosary fungus.The vivo anti-bacterial experiment shows that there MFLBO plays an obvious role in prevent the growth of streptococcus aurous and pseudomonas aeruginosa.When it comes to skin sensibility and irritant experiment, no related allergy and the irritant symptom appear, which suggests this medicinal ointment has a good security.In blood circulation removing extraverted blood function experiment, compared to blank or bases groups, MFLBO can slightly improve mouse auricle microcycle 1 hour after being applied to the mouse; 2 hours later, MFLBO can play a noticeable role.The wound heeling experiment shows that the average cicatrisation time of EMBO is the shortest, about 20.8 days, with 25.4 days, 24.9 days, 26.7 days for high, medium and low dosage respectively. There is apparent difference with the 27.2days for blank or bases groups.In terms of pathology tissue slice inspection, MFLBO can speed up healing of burns or wounds.All in all, our research shows MFLBO has the effects of anti-inflammation, analgesia, anti-bacteria, anti-infection, improving microcycle, improving wound tissue structure and promoting healing burns and wounds, which offers evidence for later clinic practice and displays a bright application prospect.
