0bjectives:The aim of this study was to investigate the changes and relationship of endothelial microparticles with a CD62E marker and high sensitivity C-reactive protein in patients with ACS,to deeply clarify the mechanism of endothelial dysfunction and inflammation on the formation of atherosclerosis and the appearance of ACS.Methods:A prospective,case-controlled study was conducted on 53 patients with ACS and 26 control subjects to investigate CD62E(+)EMPs.Included were 25 patients with acute myocardial infarction ( AMI ) and 28 with unstable angina(UA). CD62E(+)EMPs in platelet-poor plasma were measured flow cytometrically with combinations of fluorescent antibodies(anti-CD62E),hs-CRP were measured with enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).We studied a total of 46 patients with ACS undergoing coronary angiography,The severity scale of coronary artery stenosis was quantautive1y assessed by Genesini score,we evaluate the possible relationship between CD62E(+)EMPs levels and the angiographic severity. Results:The serum CD62E(+)EMPs concentrations were 439.24±145.24count/ul,367.01±135.30count/ul,324.08±124.43count/ul,respectively,for the AMI group, the UA group and the control group. The CD62E(+)EMPs level was significantly higher in patients with AMI than in control subjects(P<0.01);The CD62E(+)EMPs level was significantly correlation with the hs-CRP level(r=0.655,p<0.01);The hs-CRP level of AMI group was significantly higher than those of UA group and control group(P<0.01).this study shows that the CD62E(+)EMPs and hs-CRP levels didn't correlate with the extent and severity of coronary narrowing assessed by angiography.Conclusions:(1)The serum hs-CRP and CD62(+)EMPs levels were significantly high in patients with AMI,They are important markers in predicting the appearance of ACS.(2)Hs-CRP and CD62(+)EMPs levels don't correlate with the extent and severity of coronary narrowing assessed by angiography.they may not be useful markers in detecting the severity scale of coronary artery stenosis.(3) EC activation is associated with the inflammatory response,Endothelial cell(EC) activation and inflammatory play a role in the pathophysiology of ACS.
