Objective: In the clinical implanting work, we often find the bone defect of alveolus, so bone regeneration is very important.The present study was to found the model of dog'mandibular bone defect ,discussing the function of PRP in bone regeneration and providing a strong foundation to its clinical application.Methods:After digging three holes of diameter 10mm, depth 3.0mm at the left mandibular of 6 healthful dogs,we placed PerioGlas(control group1),PRPcomplexed PerioGlas(experiment group),PRP(controj group2) from left to right . At3,6,9 weeks after operation, the animals were killed .Investigating of the bone defect was made by means of gross observation, X-ray examination, histology of HE staining, computer graphic analysis,and scaning electronic microscope examination.. Result:1.Gross observation:Three weeks after operation,there are no obviously difference between experiment and control groups.Six and nine weeks after operation,there are more bone iof experiment group than two control groups,and control group1 is better than control group2.The bone of experiment group is very hard.2.X-ray examination:Three weeks after operation,there are no difference,no obviously bone callus between experiment and control groups.Six and nine weeks after surgery, there are more higher bone density of bone defect area of experiment group than two control groups,and there are no significant margin between bone and bone defect of experiment gpoup. 3.Histological and histomophometric analysis:During bone defect repairing or new bone formation,there was a larger amount of fibrous tissue in experimental group than in control groups at 3 weeks after operation.It can been observed that there were more osteoblasts and new bone formation at 6,9 weeks after operation.There is obviously statistical difference in the area of new bone between experimental and control groups.4. scaning electronic microscope examination: there was a larger amount of fibrous tissue in experimental group than in control groups at 3 weeks after operation.At 6 weeks after operation, the fibrous tissue got stronger and more regular,and more bone formation at 9 weeks after operation in the experimental group than control groupsConclusion:1.PRP can promote bone regeneration .2.PRP complexed PerioGlass was benefit to promote bone regeneration than PerioGlass only in the repairing of bone defect;There are no effect in PRP only; PerioGlass is a good carrier for PRP.
