Objective:To observe the clinical effect and the mechanism of the treatment of cervicalspondylotic radiculopathy co-exciting mild depression with"Chubi Shujin Decoction", and to explore the correlation between the accompany symptoms and sighs of cervicalspondylotic radiculopathy and SDS/SAS. Method: All 60 patients of cervicalspondylotic radiculopathy were randomly divided into two groups: the treatment group of"Chubi Shujin Decoction"and the control group of"Jingfukang tablets". Tests were performed from 28th day after treatment. By observing the changes of accompany symptoms, SDS and SAS before and after treatment,we can explore the clinical effect and the correlation between the change of the accompany symptoms and sighs of cervicalspondylotic radiculopathy and SDS/SAS. Result: By statistical analysis, the overall response rate was 93.3% in the treatment group and 83.3% in the control group. The difference was significant (p<0.05).The changes between the accompany symptoms and sighs of cervicalspondylotic radiculopathy were positively correlated with SDS/SAS. Conclusion: With the significant anti-inflammatory action, analgesic effect, immunomodulatory function and the development of depression,"Chubi Shujin Decoction"can eliminate radiculitis and improve the quality of life.
