The Effect Of Removing Phlegm And Blood-Stasis Together On Serum Levels Of TNF-α,HCY In T₂DM Patients With Syndrome Of Phlegm-Blood Stasis

Background:The occurrence of the diabetes mellitus evolves to have relation with the ingluvitis disease inside the human body.Phlegm and blood-stasis are the cardinal pathologic outcomes of the ingluvitis disease of low-grade,and which result in paroxysm factors continuously existence and slowly march.There are different degrees in each stage of diabetes mellitus,Phlegm and blood-stasis run through each stage of type 2 diabetes mellitus,especially be complicated by Diabetic vascular injuries.We found that certain relation was existed between Chinese medicine under the instruction of removing phlegm and blood-stasis together and the type 2 diabetes mellitus of vascular injuries,and there was closely-related between the kind of Chinese medicine and ingluvitis factors.Objective:To explore the effect of Chinese medicine Xionglou Tongmai decoction which was founded on the basis of removing phlegm and blood-stasis together on serum levels of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) and homocysteine(HCY) in T₂DM patients with syndrome of phlegm- blood stasis.Methods:TO separate the 150 T₂DM patients with syndrome of phlegm-blood stasis to two groups stochastically,group A(the treated group) is 98 examples,group B(the control group) is 52 examples.The fundamental treatment of both groups including eating,exercising, hearting adjusting,insulin injecting and taking suger decreasing medicine orally.To those patients in treated group,Chinese medicine Xionglou Tongmai decoction on the basis of removing phlegm and blood-stasis together is was given additionally with one dose taken twice per day,for a total 14 days' treatment.Group B(the control group),52 parients,used fundamental treatment,plus normal treatment.Assayed serum levels of clinical traditional Chinese medicine symptom score and TNF-α,HCY and fasting blood glucose before the treatment and after the treatment respectively.Besides,some patients also received measurements of their lipid levels if the economy is permissible.Results:.1.After two weeks' treatment,the effective rate of the treated group and the control group are 74.5%and 53.8%,respectively.The clinical TCM symptom score dropped in both groups(the treated group:P=0.000,P＜0.01;the control group:P=0.000,P＜0.01),and it was much lower in the treated group than that in the control group(P=0.047,P＜0.05).The disease effective rate was significantly higher in the treated group compared with that in the control group(P＜0.05). 2.There was no significantly difference compared with that of before treatment for serum levels of TNF-αin the treated group(P=0.227,P＞0.05),and that of the control group was the same with it(P=0.073,P＞0.05).But the variety of TNF-αhad significant difference between groups(P=0.027,P＜0.05).3.There was no significantly difference compared with that of before treatment(P=0.850,P＞0.05) for serum levels of HCY in the treated group,and that of the control group was the same with it(P=0.103,P＞0.05).The variety of HCY had no significant difference between groups (P=0.162,P＞0.05).4.Serum levels of fasting blood glucose decreased in both groups(the treated group:P=0.001, P＜0.01;the control group:P=0.005,P＜0.01),but the variety of fasting blood glucose had no significant difference between groups(P=0.363,P＞0.05).5.Serum levels of total cholesterol(TC)and triglyceride(TG)decreased in the treated group, respectively(TC P=0.017,P＜0.05;TG P=0.001,P＜0.01).but there was no significantly changes in the control group(TC P=0.222,P＞0.05;TG P=0.056,P＞0.05).The variety of TC and TG had no significant difference between groups(TC P=0.775,P＞0.05;TG P= 0.367,P＞0.05).Conclusion:Xionglou Tongmai decoction used to cure T₂DM patients with syndrome of phlegmblood stasis on the basis of removing phlegm and blood-stasis together not only can improve the clinic symptom but also improve the lever of tumor necrosis factor-alpha.The curative effect of the treated group is better than the control group.It has no obviously effect concerning improving homocysteine,so we Need a much further research.Decreasing of fasting blood glucose isn't obviously,but Xionglou Tongmai decoction could decrease TC and TG in a sense.Thus,Xionglou Tongmai decoction can resist the development of diabetic vascular injuries.It implies that the treatment might use the method of removing phlegm and blood-stasis together,it should be essential therapeutics.There was no bad reaction before the treatment and after the treatment two groups.
