Comparative Research Of The Different Anti-tumor Effect Between Agrimonia Pilosa Root And Agrimonia Pilosa Herb

Objective:To compare the different anti-tumor effect between Agrimonia Pilosa Root and Agrimonia Pilosa Herb (APR and APH for short,respectively), and to approach whether the therapeutic effect of APR was better than that of APH. Method:The influences of APR and APH on some indexes of the tumor-bearing mice were observed through the zoopery, such as life quality, body weight, weight of tumor and inhibitory rate(IR), weights and indices of thymus gland and spleen, contents of Interferon-γ(IFN-γ) in serum, and pathological sections of tumor tissues. Result: APR can protect immune systems of the tumor-bearing mice to some extent,and the small dose of APR had advantages over in improving life qualities of the mice and anti-tumor effects. Induction of INF-γfrom organism cell was one of the effect mechanisms of APR and APH on anti-tumor, but there was no significant difference of the contents of serum IFN-γbetween them(P>0.05).Conclusion: The anti-tumor effect of APR is not inferior to APH, and also the small dose of APR(6g/kg) was better than APH, which is worthwhile to do further research.
