Correlative Study Of MRI With Pathologic Grade Of C6 Brain Glioma In Rats

Objective:To establish C6 brain glioma model in rats,to discuss the features of the MR imaging in preoperative assessment of histological grade of the glioma. Materials and MethodsUsing stereotaxic technique,C6 cells were inoculated into one side of the caudate nucleus of 30 rats to establish the experimental models.MRI(T₁WI,T₂WI,T₁WI+C ),fMRI(DWI, DTI,PWI,¹H—MRS) were performed respectively before and after inoculated the C6 cells in 3 groups,including the fist group(1 week after inoculated,n= 10),the second group(2 weeks after inoculated,n=10) and the third group(3 weeks after inoculated,n=10).Chose the ROI in the tissues of the tumor,the margin of the tumor,the tissues of the tumor and the center of the tumor(or the necrosis ) to measure the value ofADC,FA,rCBV,MTT and value of the NAA/Cr,Cho/Cr in he tumor.Statistical analysis was performed.Observe the number of small vessels and blood capillary and the cells number,the nuclear-cytoplasmic ratio of the tumor,the rate of MMP-9 expression under the lifht mincroscope..Results:The fMRI have some value of preoperative assessment of histological grade of the glioma:1,In the low-grade glioma,the ADC and FA are lower than the normal part in the tumor(P＜0.05 ).The ADC is normal and the FA is normal or little higher than the normal part in the margin of the tumor.The rCBV is higher than the normal especially in the margin of the tumor(P＜0.05).The NAA/Cr is lower and the Cho/Cr is higher in the tumor(P＜0.05)2,In the grade between the low and the high,the ADC and the FA is lower than the low-grade(P＜0.05);the FA are lower than the normal part in the margin of the tumor(P＜0.05 ).The rCBV is higher than the low- grade in the margin of the tumorv.The NAA/Cr is lower and the Cho/Cr is higher than the low- grade(P＜0.05).3,In the high-grade,the ADC and the FA is obviously lower than the low-grade(P＜0.05 );the FA are lower than the low-grade in the margin of the tumor(P＜0.05).The rCBV is obviously higher than the low- grade in the margin of the tumor.The NAA/Cr is obviously lower and the Cho/Cr is obviously higher than the low- grade(P＜0.05 ).The Lip can be seen.
