With the development of society, the changes of the medical model and healthy concept, more and more people began to attach importance to psychological support for the improvement of disease and treatment. At present, the hospital began to take psychological interventions to help patients to alleviate the patients 'psychological suffering, to achieve the purpose of treating disease. Psoriasis is a typical psychosomatic disease. The occurrence, development and prognosis have a high relationship with patient's personality, emotions, mood and other psychological factors and their social environment. Traditional drug therapy has been unable to meet the needs of patients 'psoriasis. Therefore, it needs to help they eliminate psychological pressure,overcome the low self-esteem and build social skills and adaptability from the psychological point of view. This study try to cure the problem of body dysmorphic disorder for psoriasis patients by the group counseling, intending to change or reduce the inappropriate view about their body self-awareness, to raise the capacity of emotional regulation, to help them establish the courage and confidence in fighting against the disease and to enhance their social interaction and adaptability.A Questionnaire of seven factors which were defects awareness, cognition degree, social interaction, attention, emotional damage, attempting to change was designed in this study. 16 patients which showing body dysmorphic disorder by the questionnaire are selected into intervention group and control group. Group counseling intervention programs were designed for these patients to assess the effect of group counseling by the questionnaire, Housing-Tree-Person Test, group counseling feedback and semi-structured interviews.Through a period of one month, 10 times of group counseling, the results show that:1.The level of body dysmorphic disorder after the intervention was declined significantly in intervention group, Specific on defects sense, emotional damage and social interaction. However, the cognitive awareness, attention, attempting to change, others 'evaluation were not significant.2. Result of Housing-Tree- Person Test suggests that the participants in intervention group were significant improved on defect sense, emotional damage and social interaction.3. From the group counseling feedback and interviews, it's suggested that the anxiety and depression of members have been greatly eased through the group counseling. They begin to take reasonable measures to control their negative feelings, to accept the disease and others' misunderstanding more calmly, especially to join social interaction actively.
