Therefore,acupuncture in the treatment of metabolic syndrome have a great advantage.Taking a panoramic view of the present Chinese medicine treatment of metabolic syndrome in the literature and found that less than the following: acupuncture treatment of metabolic syndrome in the literature seldom:the therapeutic evaluation is simple;the majority of the lack of standardization of clinical study design,lack of large sample,no randomized controlled studies, the experimental results so that reliable reduced;rare Mechanism.This subject study use the modern scientific research methods,clinical epidemiology and data technology,combined with modern scientific research methods to study traditional medicine acupuncture treatment for metabolic syndrome,build a multi-dimensional indicators of clinical efficacy evaluation system,look for a set of standardized,effective,non-side effects of treatment options for metabolic syndrome.ObjectiveAnalyze the curative effect of acupuncture combine acupoint catgut-embedding therapy for metabolic syndrome.MethodsBy adopting prospective random control test,we take 60 patients of abdominal obesity from out-patient department of acupuncture as the object of study,which are randomly divided into two groups namely experimental group (acupuncture combine acupoint catgut-embedding group) and control group (acupuncture group),with 30 cases in each group respectively.We observed the multiple index of each patient,such as weight,BMI,the circumference of chest,lumbar,hip,arm,crus and thigh,and the experimental indices listed as follows:the insulin,fasting blood-glucose(FBG),total cholesterol (TC),triglyceride(TG),high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),uric acid(UA),systolic blood pressure(SBP),diastolic blood pressure(DBP).Then we reseach the conclusion of the effectiveness of acupuncture treatment on metabolic syndrome by acupuncture combined acupoint catgut-embedding after the analysis by statistics method.Results1.After the 3st course of treatment for MS by acupuncture combined acupoint catgut-embedding,the total effective rate 93.3%,compared with the control group were significantly different;effect of acupuncture combined with acupoint catgut embedding therapy for metabolic syndrome core components--central obesity treatment,markedly effective rate 43.3%,96.7%efficient. Treatment group and control group in the treatment of central obesity overall efficiency has no significant difference.2.By acquiring acupuncture treatment for abdominal obesity by acupuncture combined acupoint catgut-embedding,the weight,BMI,and the circumferences of chest,Lumbar,hip,arm,crus and thigh of patients was significantly reduced: especially for the reduction of abdominal circumference than the control group showed significant differences. 3.Metabolic syndrome in patients with IR,FIns,TCH,TG,UA and body weight,BMI,abdominal circumference was positively correlated;and cholesterol,high density lipoprotein,low density lipoprotein,systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and body weight,BMI,abdominal circumference was no significant correlation.4.Acupuncture Catgut Implantation with a simple combination of acupuncture can effectively regulate MS patients with IR,Fins,TCH,TG,HDL, FBG,UA,DBP levels,and triglycerides for the improvement of the treatment group was significantly better than the control group;two groups on the improvement of LDL was not obvious,does not have statistical significance; effect of acupuncture combined with Catgut Implantation of SDP has significantly improved,simple curative effects of acupuncture on the SDP was not obvious.ConclusionsAcupuncture Catgut Implantation is a combination of clinical effective, no side effects of treatment.At the foundation of acupuncture with acupoint catgut embedding on a more sustained and effective to stimulate the acupuncture points,and better regulation of the body's metabolism,so metabolic syndrome in patients with insulin resistance and metabolic disorders can have a positive regulatory role.Therefore,combined use of acupuncture treatment Catgut Implantation metabolic syndrome deserves clinical application.
