Objective: To study the clinical significance and impact on prognosis of Blood micrometastasis in pN0 period esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. Methods: Total RNA was extracted with Trizol and mRNA wastranscribed reversely into cDNA,then RT-PCR was used to detecte mmp-7mRNA and hTERTmRNA in blood, Calculated△△Ct sample values, follow-up of 3 months, 6 months, 12 months. Results: about blood micrometastases, mmp-7 and hTERT expression was related to differentiation grade and pTNM staging(P=0.000,P=0.000 respectively), but not to age, sex, length of cancer (P>0.05). Simple observation of the different violations of tumor depth and tumor metastasis (recurrence) was no correlation;Follow-up in 6 months and 12 months compared with the rate of tumor metastasis was statistically significant. After 12 months micrometastases in patients with blood-positive tumors is probability of metastasis-negative patients 6.44 times (OR = 6.440), 95% CI 1.547-26.822Conclusion: Blood micrometastasis testing for the early diagnosis of the Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma has provided a new way of thinking.
