The Effect Of Thymosin Peptide Alphal On T Lymphocyte Subsets In Hepatocellular Carcinoma Patients After Hepatectomy

OBJECTIVES:To study the percentages of T lymphocyte subsets in hepatocellular carcinoma patients. To study changes T lymphocyte subsets after therapy with thymosin peptide alpha1 used on hepatocellular carcinoma patients after hepatectomy ,and to provide the theoretical basis to the clinical application of thymosin peptide alpha 1.METHODS:Select primary liver cell carcinoma 53 cases which had radical surgery from The first attached hospital of guangxi medical university in January 2007 ~ December 2008. 53 patients with HCC were allocated at random to tow groups after hepatectomy. Control group(28 patients) and treatment group (25 patients) respectively. The patients of treatment group were injected with thymosin peptide alpha1 subcutaneous at the dose of 1.6mg applied on the day after operation and continue 7 days. The change of CD3+T,CD4+ T,CD8+T,CD4+/ CD8+T of two groups were observed before operation and1st ,4th ,7th days after operation(single factor analysis of variance within group,independent sample t test between groups).And CD3+T,CD4+T,CD8+T,CD4+ / CD8+T of 15 normal people were tested,then compared CD3+T,CD4+T,CD8+T,CD4+ / CD8+T (single factor analysis of variance)of these people and two groups,and compared the rates of infective complications after operation of two groups(chi test).RESULTS:1.The CD3+T,CD4+ T,CD4+ / CD8+T of two groups was less than normal people , CD8+T was more than normal people(p<0.05). The CD3+T,CD4+ T,CD8+T,CD4+ / CD8+T of two groups before operation were no diference.(p>0.05) 2.compare within group ;it revealed that CD3+T,CD4+T,CD8+T of control group decreased after operation (p<0.05). CD4+ / CD8+T also decreased (p>0.05). The CD3+T,CD4+T of treatment group 7th days after operation compared with before operation(p>0.05),CD8+ decreased (p<0.05);The CD4+ / CD8+T increased 7th days after operation compared with before operation(p<0.05). 3.Compared between groups, The CD3+T,CD4+T of treatment group were more than that of control group(4th 7th after operation p<0.05). The CD4+ / CD8+T of treatment group were more than that of control group( 1st 4th 7th after operation p<0.05). The CD8+T of treatment group were less than that of control group. (1st 4th 7th after operation P<0.05) 4.There was no statistical difference of the rates of infection complications after operation between groups.CONCLUSIONS:These results suggest that operation inhibits immune function of T lymphocyte in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma, thymosin peptide alpha1 can increase immune fuction of T lymphocyte.
