ã€Object】: To study the mRNA expression of TRF1,TRF2,POT1 gene in human breast cancer and analyze the correlation among the clinicopathologic factors .ã€Methods】: Thirty breast cancer sample and paired noncancerous sample were analyzed. The Levels of Transcription of TRF1,TRF2,POT1 gene were determined using real-time quantitative PCR .ã€Results】:Compared with the noncancerous sample, the mRNA expressions of TRF1, POT1 gene were down-regulated in breast cancer sample(P=0.032; P=0.027respectively ). However, TRF2 gene were up-regulated in breast cancer sample (P=0.027)there was no correlation between the mRNA expressions of TRF1, POT1 gene and clinicopathologic factors including age, tumor size, tumor grade, lymph node metastasis, estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor .There was a correlation between POT1 gene and TRF1 gene (r=0.505, p=0.04)ã€Conclusion】:The down-regulation of transcription of TRF1 ,POT1 gene and the up-regulation of transcription of TRF2 in breast cancer are involved in the carcinogenesis and development of breast cancer. The no correlation between the mRNA expressions of TRF1, POT1 gene and clinicopathologic factors indicate that the value of TRF1 ,TRF2,POT1 gene as prognostic indicator of breast cancer need to be further confirmed .3. The correlation between POT1 gene and TRF1 gene suggest that the synergistic effect of the two genes are involved in the carcinogenesis and development of breast cancer.
