Objective:Based on organizing and analyzing the literature, the essay hAs explored the cognition of traditional Chinese medicine on Atherosclerosis, and the effect of turbid phlegm and gore on forming of Atherosclerosis. By observing the effect of Huatan Huoxue Fang (HHF) on blood-fat, plaque and inflammation and the inflammatory factor in Atherosclerosis rats serum, the effect and mechanism of Huatan Huoxue Fang (HHF) on Atherosclerosis were clarified.Methods:Theoretical research: adopting the method of collecting, organizing and analyzing the literature. Experimental research: observing the effect of Huatan Huoxue Fang (HHF) on blood-fat, plaque and inflammation and the inflammatory factor in Atherosclerosis rats serum.Medicine: Huatan Huoxue Fang (HHF) is composed of Pinellia Tuber 10g, Fructus Trichosanthis 10g, Rhizoma Coptidis 6g, Tuckahoe 20g, Angelica 10g, Ligusticus Wallichii Franchet10g, Ground Beeltle 10g, Arisaema cum Bile 10g, Flos Carthami 10g, Hawthorn 10g.High fat fodder: 3%cholesterol, 0. 5%cholate sodium, 0. 2%propyl sulfur oxygen pyridine, 5%white sugar, 12% hog fat, 81. 3%bAsic fodder; Grouping: 60 male Wistar rats fed conventionally for a week: 12 were selected into blank group randomly. 36 of the other 48 underwent successfully an operation of inner theca sacculus, and survived Within 24 hours. The 36 surviving rats were divided into three groups ( each group 12 rats ) randomly, the model group, Huatan Huoxue Fang (HHF) group, Positive control group; Creation of models: Blank group were fed by bAsic fodder. The others were fed High fat fodder and vitamin D3 powder(1.25×106u/kg fodder). At the beginning of experiment, rats were injected vitamin D3 powder in right crura muscle (3×105u/kg avoirdupois), and repeated once every other 30 days, and then were underwent an operation of inner theca sacculus after a week; Indexes of observation and detection:1) The effect of Huatan Huoxue Fang (HHF) on blood-fat level and Atherosclerosis plaque; 2) Mensurating high sensitivity CRP, ICAM-1 by ELISA;Statistics method:A11 the data were processed by statistical software (SPSS 10.0). The data type wAs quantity data, expressed by mean±standard deviation (x±s ), and analyzed by One-way ANOVA, There is statistical significance for P< 0.05.Result:Theoretical study considers that uncontrolled diet, damaged spleen and gAstro oldness and weakness, visceral dysfunction, Modern illness, Internal organs disorders, turbid phlegm and gore, hinder. Qi activity, etc is the major pathogenes is of Atherosclerosis. Atherosclerosis is correlated to five zang organs, and the center of its pathological changes is spleen. From the evolution of the diseAse, the clinical experience of the old Chinese medicine, and the results of modern research, it considers that turbid phlegm and gore are keys of pathogenesis. Experimental result shows that Huatan Huoxue Fang (HHF) hAs the following effects: 1. Significantly lower TC level, TG level, and LDL-C level in rats serum, the result showed significant difference when compared with the model group(P<0.05); Significantly upper HDL-C level in rats serum; 2. Significantly lower high sensitivity CRP level and ICAM-1 level the result showed significant difference when compared with the model group (P<0. 05) .Conclusion:1. Theoretical study shows that spleen is the center of Atherosclerosis pathological changes, and turbid phlegm and gore are keys of pathogenesis. 2. Experimental study shows that Huatan Huoxue Fang (HHF) lowers TC level, TG level, LDL-C level, upper HDL-C level, and affects Atherosclerosis plaque and high sensitivity CRP in rats serum. It shows that Huatan Huoxue Fang (HHF) not only regulates blood-fat but also lowers high sensitivity CRP etc inflammatory factor, and plays an important role of anti-inflammatory and anti-atherosclerosis.
