Clinical Observation Of Ankun Capsule In The Treatment Of Metrorrhagia After IUD Placement (Deficiency Of Yin And Hot Blood Type)

Objective:To observe the curative effect and the feature of Ankun Capsule in the treatment of metrorrhagia after women wearing IUD,and to explore its possible role in this mechanism,providing the basic scientific theory for it.Methods:1.Clinical DataAll the cases were coming from the clinic of Hubei Province Hospital of Chinese Medicine and Phoenix Clinic during Feb.2007, to Jun.2008,which were diagnosed with metrorrhagia after IUD placement,ranging in the type of deficiency of yin and hot blood by Chinese Medicine theory.A total of 60 cases were observed. Grouped randomly,the treatment group was the proprietary Chinese medicine Ankun Capsule,while the control one was the western medicine Adrenobazone Tablet.There were 30 cases in each group. The difference between their data,such as age,vital signs,the course and state of the disease,and clinical symptoms,have no significant analyzed statistically(P>0.05),which means they were comparable. 2.TreatmentUse method of the treatment group:Ankun Capsule,oral,4/time, 3times/day.Use method of the control group:Adrenobazone Tablet, oral,2/time,3times/day.Took medicine for 7 days continuously from the fifth day of the menstrual cycle(If it stops bleeding in less than 7 days,withdrawing the drugs on the next day),and went on three consecutive menstrual cycles as a course.3.The observation of the efficacy and safetyObserve and record the scores of Chinese medicine syndrome once each before and after treatment.Record the side effects during the course.4.Statistical MethodsIt was designed as a randomized,single-blind,positive parallel and control test.And used t test for Measurement data, chi-square test for counting data,Ridit level test for ranked data.Results:1.Effect on synthetic curative,the cure rate of Ankun Capsule in treating metrorrhagia after placed IUD is 33%,and the total effective rate is 87%,while the cure rate of Adrenobazone Tablet is 17%,and the total effective rate is 73%.By statistical analysis, there is significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05), which means the clinical efficacy in treatment group is better than the control group.2.Effect on bleeding,the total effective rate of the Ankun Capsule group is 87%,while the Adrenobazone Tablet group is 73.5%. There is significant difference between two groups(P < 0.05),which means the clinical efficacy in treatment group is better than the control one. 3.Both groups of drugs have the effect on improving the clinical symptoms to some extent,hfter a course of treatment, compared with the control group,the treatment group has much better effect on the symptoms of menostaxis,hypermenorrhea,dull redness-color menstrual blood,hectic fever and red cheeks, oliguria with yellow urine and dry stool(P<0.05).There is no significant difference on other symptoms between the groups(P> 0.05),which means that two groups have therapeutic equivalence.4.The curative effect of hnkun Capsule relates with the course of diseases,and the <6m group had the best effect,hnd it has little concern with the patients' condition,3 groups with different degree had the same effect equally.5.Adverse reaction and side effects:During clinical trials, neither of the two groups has hdverse reaction and side effects. Conclusion:Ankun Capsule has effective treatment for metrorrhagia after IUD placement(deficiency of yin and hot blood type),and can improve some related clinical symptoms significantly.It does well in clearing,and promoting fluid production,cooling the blood and dissolving haemostasis,strengthen the chong mai to stop bleeding. It is worth promoting the clinical application.
