Comparative Study On Medical Models Of Traditional Chinese Medicine And Modern Western Medicine

Modern Chinese Intellectuals extended western scientific value into Chinese medical field and the scientificity of Traditional Chinese Medicine with the standard of Western Medicine, which produced several stormy cross swords in history. The thesis belongs to comparative study on Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, which aims to response the Needham Question with studing on cases of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine. The thesis compares Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine in terms of understanding of life, interpretation of pathology, diagnosis of mechanism and method of treatment with methodology and epistemology as two views. It tries to display the similarities and differences of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine in the same step under parallel comparison. It used different studying methods in research process, such as document analysis and case analysis, which may show special developing history and characters of theoretical method of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine.However, the thesis is only for comparison and doesn't try to give value judgment. The conclusion gives reflection of thinking Western Medicine best way with reason of tool, reviews the modern of developing history of Western Medicine, and explores the possible way of universalization of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
