| ObjectiveTo observe the repair effcts of slightly heat ultrashort wave therapy on sciatic nerve after rat sciatic nerve crushed injury and its contribution on expression of basic fibroblast growth factors.Methods35 SD rats were divided into three groups: USW therapy group, control group and normal group. The sciatic nerve were crushed with a special forceps. USW therapy group were treated with USW exposure and control group with sham explosure after the operation. Normal group was not given any treatment. The histology and immunohistochemistry examination were performed respectively after 1,2,3 weeks.Result1. The SFI show significant difference between therapy group and control group (P<0.05 ).2.Compared with control group, USW therapy group shows significantly better nerve regeneration by histology examination (P<0.05).3. The expression of bFGF increased during the process of nerve regeneration, and reached the maximum at 2 weeks after nerve injury, then decline slowly. There were distinct difference between therapy group and control group (P<0.05).ConclusionThe USW therapy have obvious effect on the recovery of sciatic nerve function . The USW therapy participate in the pathologic process of peripheral nerve regeneration. USW therapy promotes the expression of bFGF during scitic nerve regeneration and reminding that its effcts on peripheral nerve is accomplished by bFGF. |
