The chemical component study on the Breyniafruticosa(L.) Hook.f. -the folklore medicine plant was reported by this paper.The chemical components of Breynia fruticosa(L.) Hook.f.was subjected to silica gel chromatography,and reverse-phase RP-18, MCI-CHP-20P,and gel Sephadex LH-20,Toyopearl HW-40C.The structures and stereochemistry of the compounds isolated from them elucidated by spectroscopic methods,including IR,UV,MS,NMR.Thirteen known compounds including vomifoliol,4-hydroxy-3,5,5 -trimethyl-2-cyclohexen-1-one,vanillin,8-hydroxyluteolin-8-rhamnoside, isophorone,3,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde,ursolic aid,stigmasterol,3, 5-dimethoxy-hydroxy benzaldehyde,caffeic acid,9-octadencenoic acid,2,3-dihydroxypropyl ester,(4S,9R) 4-hydroxyl-3-Oxo-α-ionolβ-D-glucopyranoside. (4R,9R)-3-Oxo-α-ionolβ-D-glucopyranoside.The thirteen compounds were isolated from Breynia f ruticosa(L.) Hook.f.for the first time.
