Water is the original of lives, drinking water is the indispensable substance of people's every day life, so the safety of drinking water plays a great important role in people's heath and life quality. However, as development as industry and agriculture activities, some poisonous and harmful chemical compounds such as chlorobenzenes entered the supply system of people's drinking water, which make a huge potential threat to the safety of people's drinking water. Therefore it is very important to take a effective measure to ensure the safety of drinking water by the means of detection and analysis.Solid-Phase Microextraction(SPME)is a relatively new method of sample pretreatment. In this method, a small portion of fused silica fiber with a polymeric phase is exposed to an aqueous solution or headspace, the target substances are absorbed by the polymer, and the SPME fiber is directly transferred to a GC injector or special HPLC injector for desorption and analysis. SPME is a solvent-free and concentrating extraction technique, which contrasts to conventional liquid-liquid and solid phase methods of extraction. It is integrates sampling, extraction, concentration and sample introduction into a single step, and has many attractive features such as low-cost, high sensitivity, simplification, rapidity and portability. SPME is very suitable to the rapid and batch of determination of volatile and part-volatile compounds such as chlorobenzenes.This thesis concentrates on the method study about the determination of chlorobenzenes in drinking water by headspace-SPME-GC method. On the aspect of ensuring water quality, this method combines the SPME new technology and the traditional gas chromatography analysis to establish a systematical method of sampling, enrichment and analysis in order to meet the demand of the rapid and batch of samples' determination and build new standard analytical method.Through this thesis, it is proved that the method of using HS-SPME-GC method to detect the chlorobenzenes in drinking water, has high sensitivity, low detected-limited, few time-consuming and great advantages in the determination of poisonous and harmful compounds in drinking water, it has the good applicant preview in the analysis field of volatile and part-volatile organic compounds in drinking water as well.
