Expression And Clinical Significance Of Kallikrein 7 And Survivin In Epithelial Ovarian Cancer

OBJECTIVEThe search for the relationship between the expression of KLK7 and survivin and human ovarian normal tissues,benign tumor tissues and ovarian epithelial cancers is in order to find out the pathogenesis of carcinogengsis and the role of the cancer associated genes in the level of geng, to find out a new index for early diagnosis and prognosis detection of ovarian epithelial cancer.MethodsReverse Polymerase Chain Reaction(RT-PCR) method and agarose gel electrophoresis are employed to detected the expression of kallikrein 7(KLK7)in human normal ovarian tissues,benign tumor tissues and epithelial ovarian cancers. And the expression of survivin is detected immunohistochemically in the three ovarian tissues at the same time.ResultsThe positive expression rate of KLK7 in normal ovarian tissues was zero. The positive expression rate of KLK7 in epithelial ovarian cancers was 77.50% (31/40), which was higher than that in benign tumor's 22.73% (10/44) (P<0.01). And the positive expression rate of KLK7 in epithelial ovarian cancers with node metastasis was 91.67%(22/24) which was higher than negative 56.25﹪(9/16) (P<0.05). And the expression of Survivin was detected in 82.50%(33/40) of epithelial ovarian cancer tissues,higher than29.55%(13/44) of benign epithelial tumor (P<0.05) , 37.50%(15/40) of normal ovarian tissues (P<0.05). And the positive expression rate of survivin in epithelial ovarian cancers with node metastasis was 95.83%(23/24) which was higher than negative 62.50﹪(10/16) (P<0.05). But there were no difference in different histological grades.ConclusionThe expression rate of KLK7 in normal ovarian tissues was zero. The expression of KLK7 in epithelial ovarian cancer tissues was higher,especially in the ovarian cancer tissues with node metastasis. And the expression rate of Survivin in epithelial ovarian cancer tissues and which with node metastasis were higher too.So KLK7 and Survivin are maybe a new epithelial ovarian tumor markers that can predict the prognosis of the patients.And at the same time KLK7 and Survivin maybe a nove1 bio1ogical marker for diagnosing and monitoring the ovarian cancer in clinic, which will have prognostic value in epithe1ial ovarian cancer.
