Application Of Pedicle Screw Fixation Of Vertebral Body Via Pedicle Combining With Bone And Marrowbone Graft For Treatment Of Thoracolumbar Burst Fractures

Objective:To investigate the method and effect for treatment of thoracolumbar vertebral burst fractures by the method of pedicle screw fixation the vertebral body via pedicle with autogenous bone and marrowbone , and consider its indications and the application of autogenous bone.Methods:At the standard of Denis,35 cases of thoracolumbar vertebral burst fractures were treated by pedicle screw fixation of vertebral body via pedicle or combining with autogenous bone and marrowbone. Observe the index of AWA and RAP and Cobb's angel preoperative to postoperative.Result: In a total of 35 cases, The height and configuration of centrum came back obviously and the Cobb's angle improved in early period.And also the scores of Frankel is improve. But the late results is different. In group of the bone graft, After an average of 13.5 months followed up,all patients'pain distinctly relieved. No complication and no increasing of Cobb's angle occurred in all cases.all fractures reached osteal concrescence.Conclusion:Application of pedicle screw fixation of vertebral body transpedicular combining autogenous bone and marrowbone grafting can reconstruct vertebral shape and height and increase the stability of the spine , It also can reduce the possibility of complications.Autogenous bone and marrowbone can induce growth of bone and accelerate concrescence of bone. It is a good kind of material in bone graft.
