【Objective】To study the immunohistochemical features of mesenteric fibromatosis, solitary fibrous tumors and gastrointestinal stromal tumors and and discuss the differential diagnosis of these three diseases.【Methods】The expression of CD117,CD34,β-catenom,S-100,Desmin,Bcl-2 and Dog-1 of these three tumors was studied by immunohistochemistry method(S-P method).【Results】①There are 6 cases(75%) ofβ-catenin positive immunohistochemical staining among 8 cases of mesenteric fibromatosis. All 13 examples of GIST and 7 examples of solitary fibrous tumors lack labeling forβ-catenin.②There are over 85 % of CD117 and Dog-1 positive immunohistochemical staining among 13 cases of GIST. All 8 examples of mesenteric fibromatosis and 7 examples of solitary fibrous tumors lack labeling for CD117. All 8 examples of mesenteric f i bromatos i s lack labeling for Dog-1.③There are only few Dog-1 positive immunohistochemical staining among 8 cases of mesenteric fibromatosis. There are over 71% of CD34 and Bcl-2 positive immunohistochemical staining among 7 cases of solitary fibrous tumors. There are only few CD34 positive immunohistochemical staining among 13 cases of GIST.【Conclusion】We think we can identify mesenteric fibromatosis, solitary fibrous tumors and gastrointestinal stromal tumors by combining applying CD117, CD34, P-catenin and the morphous feature of HE staining slices. We can further eliminate myogenic tumors and neurogenic tumors by combining S100 and Desmin。...
