Objective:To observing Acupuncture treatment of sudden sensorineural hearing loss(SHL) clinical efficacy, as Acupuncture and drugs treatment of sudden sensorineural hearing loss of evidence based medicine.Method:Cases were from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, First Affiliated Hospital ENT inpatients, from July 2009 to December 2009 collected a total of 59 patients met the inclusion criteria were included in the study of SHL with the way coin flip Simple randomized into control group,29 cases and 29 cases, the control group treatment for drug Xuesaitong 0.4G and Safflower needle 20ML 250ML each in 0.9%saline intravenously, were completed in one hour drip every day; with traditional Chinese medicine, according to syndrome differentiation and treatment prescribed, one dose per day. Experimental group was treated on the basis of the control group treated with acupuncture. Results:Experimental group,9 cases were cured,4 cases were markedly effective in 11 cases, ineffective in 5 cases, total effective rate was 82.76%, recovery rate was 31.03%; the control group recovered in 2 cases,3 cases were markedly effective in 7 cases, ineffective in 18 cases, The total effective rate was 40%, cure rate was 6.67%. The total effective treatment in both groups and compared recovery rates were significantly different (P<0.05). (2)factors influencing efficacy:two cases with the effect of duration of disease are correlated (P<0.05). Two cases of hearing loss degree and effect of no correlation (P>0.05). Experimental group and control group patients with onset of vertigo effect of those cases are associated with vertigo not associated with efficacy(P>0.05).Conclusions:(1)Acupuncture treatment of SHL can improve cure rates and overall efficiency. (2)the course of SHL correlated with efficacy, is one of the important factors influencing efficacy, treatment time in 2 weeks or less effective, and shows the incidence of SHL if need timely treatment. (3)whether onset vertigo and hearing loss associated with the degree of the effect of SHL are correlated, the conclusion is not clear, yet to be studied further.
