Analysis Of The Sub Health Yang-deficiency Constitutions' EASY-SCAN

ObjectiveThis research aims for supplying the objective evidences for clinical diagnosis of Yang-deficiency constitution by using TCM Constitution Index, sub health state evaluations, and Computer Aided Functional Scanning System which studies Yang-deficiency constitution and Qi-stagnation constitution and Moderate constitution group's basic medical features.Methods:The author uses cross-sectional study of clinical epidemiology to launch the research and select related statistical methods to analyze the clinical data. It aims for evaluating the effect of Scanning Functional Testing System.Results:1. By analyzing the data from EASY-SCAN, the author gets the following results:(1) There is a significant difference between constitution and gender(P<0.01). By the way,there are some features of constitution and age. (2)Taking the free radical into consideration, Yang-deficiency is slightly higher than other constitution types (P<0.01). (3) Yang-deficiency group is slightly lower than other constitution types in the cortex,while higher in DHEA and ACTH (P<0.01). (4) Yang-deficiency group is slightly higher than other constitution types when it comes to the biologica active level of 5-HT and Ach (P<0.05). (5) Yang-deficiency group's average of reproduct system is slightly lower than other constitution types according to the neuroimmunoendocrine network (P<0.05). (6) Taking the vegetative nervous system into consideration, Yang-deficiency is lower than other groups according to the sympathetic nervous system, the vice sympathetic nervous system sacral, the rennin and the brain activity (P<0.01). (7) Yang-deficency group have abnormal ion metabolism, in which sodium, chloridion and calcium are obvious(P<0.01). (8)Yang-deficiency constitution is lower than other constitutions when it comes to the biological active level of average of meridian, excluding the Small Intestine Meridian and the Bladder Meridian and the Triple Energizer Meridian(P<0.05). (9) In the overall average, the Yang-deficiency is lower.2. The EASY-SCAN can not find the specific indicators to assess Yang-deficiency. Oherwise, it is hard to have a clear classification between Yang-deficiency constitution and Moderate constitution according to the indicators.Conclusion:EASY-SCAN is able to reflect the state and features of different constitution groups. EASY-SCAN is also can be used as an objective marker and provides evidence for classifying constitutions.
