The Clinical Efficacy Of Modified Li Zhong Tang In Treating Diabetic Patients With Syndrome Of Spleen And Kidney Yang Asthenia

ObjectiveThis study is aimed to observe the clinical efficacy of treatment of warming Shen and invigorating Pi therapy in treating diabetic patients with syndrome of spleen and kidney yang asthenia.Methods60 patients of Diabetes were enrolled in a randomized, controlled study and divided into treatment group and control group, both of which received conventional diabetic therapy. Patients in the treatment group took Modified Li Zhong Tang on the basis of conventional western treatment. The test cycle was 4 weeks. And then evaluation of the comprehensive effect on patients in two groups were carried out. In addition, all patients'clinical symptoms and some important indicators, such as Fasting blood glucose (FBG),2-hour postprandial blood glucose (P2hBG), glycosylated hemoglobin (HbAlc), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), low-density lipoprotein (LDL), high-density lipoprotein (HDL), fibrinogen (FIB), C-reactive protein (CRP) and so on were observed in the two groups before and after test. Results(1) The clinical comprehensive curative rates in the treatment group was 73.3% and in the control group was 60.0%, and there were no significant difference between two groups(P>0.05); (2) The total scores of symptoms in two groups were significantly decreased after treatment (P<0.05, P<0.01), and the decrease in treatment group was significantly greater than in control group (P<0.01); The clinical efficacy of TCM symptoms was 91.3% in the treatment group and 72.1% in the control group, and there was significant difference between two groups(P<0.05);(3)The levels of FBG, P2hBG, HbAlc decreased significantly in both groups after treatment(P<0.05, P<0.01), but there was no significant difference between two groups(P>0.05); (4) The levels of TC,TG,LDL decreased significantly in both groups (P<0.01), but there was no significant difference between two groups (P>0.05); The level of HDL increased significantly in the treatment group after treatment, but in the control group it didn't have significant change(P>0.05); (5)The levels of CRP and FIB decreased significantly in both groups after treatment(P<0.05, P<0.01), and there was significant difference between two groups(P<0.05). Conclusion(1) Modified Li Zhong Tang, which was formed according to the warming Shen and invigorating Pi therapy can improve clinical symptoms in patients with diabetes and its chronic complications;(2)Modified Li Zhong Tang can help decrease blood sugar and control blood sugar fluctuation;(3)Modified Li Zhong Tang can act on regulating blood lipids and decrease the level of plasma CRP significantly, thereby it has a role of reducing vascular inflammation and protecting vascular endothelial function; (4) Modified Li Zhong Tang can significantly decrease the level of plasma FIB and therefore improve microcirculation and prevent the occurrence of thrombotic diseases.
