This study was designed randomized, controlled, blinded prospective clinical trial research, to observe therapy to the stable period of COPD Of the prescription of regulating and reinforcing lung and kidney(composition as follows:cornus, epimedium, Schisandra, cordyceps, ginseng, ginkgo, Poria, Salvia, etc.), which is summed up by China-Japan Friendship Hospital famous Chinese expert, Professor Chao Enxiang, based on many years of clinical practice, and to rich Chinese medicine treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.ObjectiveObserve therapy to the stable period of COPD of the prescription of regulating and reinforcing lung and kidney, make a scientific evaluation,and rich Chinese medicine treatment methods with the stable period of COPD. MethodPatients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in stable period, TCM for lung and kidney deficiency type was studied, which doctor in Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Respiratory Medicine clinic. This study use a randomized method,48 patients were divided into treatment group and control group. One control group was given western medicine treatment programs, treatment group on the basis of western medicine treatment programs served to regulate and reinforce lung and kidney prescription, treatment for 3 months. After treatment, clinical efficacy, chinese medicine symptom score, indices of pulmonary function, quality of life indicators were observed, and make a scientific assessmen.Results1. Clinical symptoms:Clinical symptoms of the treatment group improved significantly compared with the patients before treatment (P<0.01), and the clinical efficacy is superior to the control group (P<0.05).2. TCM Symptom score:After treatment, the total score of the treatment significantly decrease compared with the patients before treatment, which has a significant difference (P＜0.05), there is significant difference between treatment group and control group(P<0.05).3. lung function:The lung function before and after treatment showe no significant difference in the treatment group and the control group(P> 0.05), FEV1 is significantly different before and after treatment between the treatment group and the control group(P<0.05), FEV1(%) is significantly different before and after treatment between the treatment group and the control group (P<0.01)4. Quality of life:There is significant difference in the treatment group after treatment of the SGRQ in patients with respiratory symptoms, disease impact and the indicators SGRQ compared with before treatment (P<0.05), tips to improve the quality of life in patients; There are significant differences in the indicators between treatment group and control group after treatment (P<0.05).ConclusionCompared with simple western medicine regulate and reinforce lung and kidney prescription and western medicine can better improve clinical symptoms, slow rate of decline of lung function, improve patients quality of life.
