This is my master degree research work, reports chemical constituts of Curculigo sinensis. Through a variety of extraction methods and techniques, such as D101 macroporous resin column, Saphadex LH-20 chromatography, silica gel chromatography, MCI and other chromatography column. From the rhizomes of the plant,27 compounds were isolated and identified, including 4 new compounds and 23 known compounds. They are mainly norneolignans and their glycosides,phenolic glycosides,flavonoids,chlorine compounds,aromatic substitutions, and so on. These compounds were first isolated from this plant. At last, the bioactivity of C. Gaertn plants was reviewed.Chapter One mainly discusses about the chemical constitutes of C. sinensis. C. sinensis is one kind of C. Gaertn, no studies of this plant in relation to its chemical constitutes have been reported so far.26 compounds were isolated from the methanol extract of the rhizomes of it. Most of them were norneolignans and their glycosides (1,3-7,13-21,25-26), phenolic glycosides and phenolic compounds (2,11.23,24), flavonoids (8,22). Compounds 1,4,9, and 15 are new compounds, the others were first isolated from this plant. Norneolignans compounds are characteristic components of this species, its characteristics is five carbon atoms between the two benzene rings, and form a Ph-C5-Ph basic skeleton.Chapter Two summaries the researchment on the bioactivity of C.Gaertn. such as immune regulation, anti-oxidation, anti-fatigue, anti-aging, cardiovascular protection, and lists the research situation of pharmacological activity of some compounds.
