In this thesis, fluorescence properties of vitamins were studied, and influences of experimental conditions on fluorescence spectra were also investigated to establish suitable conditions for analysis of vitamins. Solution fluorescent methods were proposed for the determination of vitamins. The content of vitamin B2 (VB2) and vitamin B6 (VB6) were determined by solution fluorescent method, and the results were tested by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).The main contents of the thesis were as follows:1. Fluorescence spectra of VB2 were studied. The fluorescence of VB2 was strong. Solution acidity and the polarity of solvent had great effect on the fluorescence spectra of VB2. Different degrees of fluorescence quenching would be happened when VB2 coexist with Fe3 + (obviously), Ca2 +, Mg2 +, Cu2 +and Al3. Surfactants had no affect on the fluorescence of VB2. The fluorescence quantum yield of VB2 was measured to be 0.159, using quinine sulfate as a reference. The content of VB2 in the VB2 tablet and Mult-VB tablet was determined by solution fluorescent method and the result was tested by HPLC method.2. Fluorescence spectra of VB6 were studied. It was found that the polarity of solvent had great effect on the fluorescence spectra of VB6. The ionization constant of VB6 was determined to be pKa = 8.92, by using a fluorimetric method. The fluorescence quantum yield of VB6 was measured to be 0.061, using L-tryptophane as a reference. By solution fluorescent method, the content of VB6 in the VB6 tablet was determined.3. VitaminB1 (VB1) had basically no fluorescence. The sensitization effects of potassium ferricyanide (PF), potassium periodate, potassium iodate and potassium bromate on the fluorescence of VB1 was studied. It was found that PF had the best sensitization effect on fluorescence of VB1. Fluorescence spectra of VB1-PF system was studied, and the fluorescence quantum yield of the system was measured to be 0.189, using quinine sulfate as a reference. Fluorescence spectra of VA, VB12, VE and nicotinic acid were also studied. The fluorescence of them was weak.4. Method for obtaining sensitized fluorescence of Vitamin P (rutin) was explored. Fluorescence spectra of rutin-Al3+ and rutin-borax systems were studied, and the fluorescence quantum yields of the dualistic systems were measured to be 0.046 and 0.017, respectively.
