Effects on the motor function and the expression of IL-10 of XiFengTongLuo Granule in ACI patientsBackground:Acute Cerebral Infarction (ACI) is a disease which is serious hazard to human health, With the characteristics of high morbidity, mortality, disability rate, recurrence rate, and the high cost of treatment. It was seriously affecting the patient's daily work, study and life; bring about social and family burden. The necrosis of Central nervous cell and reperfusion injury is the main cause of neurological impairment and paralysis and other serious consequences. The inflammatory and immune responses occurring after cerebral ischemia are a major pathological mechanism of neuronal injury, degeneration, and apoptosis. Recent research shows that the inflammation after ACI is not only related to pro-inflammatory factors, but also related to interleukin-10 (IL-10).ACI is relegateto "Zhongfeng" in Chinese medicine.Xifeng,Huatan,Tongluo is the main therapy of acute stroke of Fengtanyuzu. We treat Stroke patients and gain good clinical effects with Xifengtongluo Decoction for more than 10years, and with Xifengtongluo granule in these several years. However, the mechanism of this therapy is still unknown, We need to have a randomized controlled clinical evaluation of it.Objective:To observe the effect of Huatan Tongluo Decoction on the motor function and the expression of IL-10 in ACI patiences.Results:â‘ The concentration of IL-10 in patients of ACI group were higher than that in healthy people (P<0.05);â‘¡NHSS in treatment group was lower than that in control group on the 14th day after treatment (P<0.05). SFMA score in treatment group was higher than that in control group on the 14th day after treatment,but the difference was significant(P >0.05).â‘¢In treatment group, the expression of IL-10 after treatment was significantly increased than that before treatment(P<0.05). The expression of IL-10 in treatment group was higher than that in control group on the 7th day, but the difference was significant (P>0.05)Conclusions:Xifengtongluo Granule is an effective therapy to treat the ACI, which can significantly improve ACI patient's motor function. This study of small sample cannot suggest that Xifeng Tongluo Granule is up-regulated IL-10, but we found IL-10 was up-regulated after treatment in Xifengtongluo group. We hope to go on further study with larger Sample size in the near future.
