Objective:To explore the relationship between anti-cardiolipin antibody (ACA),fibrinogen and acute cerebral infarction. Methods:The contents of ACA, Fib in blood serum of 80 patients with acute cerebral infarction (ACI) were detected in the morning after fasting over night using ELISA methods, and compared with 40 healthy controls. Results:The ACA positive rate in acute cerebral infarction group was significantly higher than in control group,(P<0.01); The content of fibrinogen in ACA-positive patients was significantly higher than that in ACA-negative patients; The worse the cerebral infarction was, the higher the IgG-ACA positive rate and the content of fibrinogen were. Serum anti-cardiolipin antibody level in ACI group was positively correlated with the grading of nervous system dysfunction. ACA in the 1st,2nd,3rd and 4th week were compared suggesting that ACA positive rate reduced as time changed (P<0.01); ACA positive rate was closely related with cerebral infarction patients aged≤50 years.ACA presents was distinctively with the ascending quantity of, Fib r=0.714 (P<0.01).Conclusion:The dynamic changes of ACA,fibrinogen in blood serum might be helpful in diagnosis and prognosis of acute cerebral infarction; In addition,ACA may be participate in the development of ACI in younger patients. The higher content of ACA,Fib will aggravate or speed up the thrombosis of capillary vessel.
