Objective To analyze 186 cases who underwent fine-needle aspiration(FNA),and compare the results with surgical pathologies. Discuss the value of FNA in diagnosis of breast neoplasms and the significance of its immunohistochemistry in new adjuvant therapy for the breast cancer .Methods A total of 186 patients with breast neoplasms had been biopsied with fine needle, Contrast the cytology diagnosis to histopathological results with Wax block cell production method. Among them,47 cases which had immunohistochemical results of the ER,PR,CerbB-2,Ki67 both in preoperative core needle biopsy and surgical excision specimens were collected, and compared with the difference between them.35 cases which had immunohistochemical results of the ER,PR,CerbB-2,Ki67 both in preoperative core needle biopsy and surgical excision specimens after neoadjuvant chemotherapy were collected, and compared with the difference between them. Results The diagnosis with fine needle aspiration cytology of 186 cases of breast cancer :compliance rate of 89.08%, accuracy rate of 95.68%, false negative rate of 4.32%.FNAC samples for detection of ER,PR,CerbB-2,Ki67 by IHC show good agreement with tissue block samples ( P >0.05).And there are no significant difference for the expression of ER, PR, CerbB-2 before and after neoadjuvant chemotherapy ( P>0.05). The positive expression of Ki67 before neoadjuvant chemotherapy was significantly higher than that after neoadjuvant chemotherapy(P<0.05).Conclusion There is a high accuracy in the diagnosis of breast cancer with fine needle aspiration cytology , there are almost no significant difference for the expression of ER,PR,CerbB-2,Ki67 between cytology diagnosis of cell wax block and surgical excision specimens(P >0.05).It can provides the pathological basis for the diagnosis and treatment. This diagnostic technique is simple, safe, fast, trauma, high specificity, worthy to be popularized.
