Background and objectiveCombined systemic chemotherapy, radiotherapy and prophylactic cranial irradiation is considered as first line therapeutic protocols for small cell lung cancer. To evaluate the median survival time in different treatment protocols.MethodsTo do the survival analysis of 38 cases in different treatment protocols.ResultsCombined-modality therapy (full dose and full cycles of platinum-based chemotherapy, radiotherapy and prophylactic cranial irradiation)results of better median survival time (P<0.05).PCI results of better median survival time (P<0.05) Standard chemotherapy makes no significant effects to the median survival time (P =0.095).Concurrent chemoradiation protocols makes no significant effects to the median survival time (P=0.334)ConclusionsStandard Combined-modality therapy offers significant improvement on survival time of patients of limited-disease small-cell lung cancer.
