The multi-vitamin capsules are mixed by seven vitamins of vitamin PP (50mg), B1 (5mg), B2 (5mg), B6 (5mg), C (50mg), E (25mg), A (0.8 mg) and appropriate amount of starch and talcum powder. When the proportion of starch and talcum powder was 5:6, the multi-vitamin had good mobility and was suitable for mading hard capsules by machine automatically.Basis on the pre-trial's result, each experimental group's vitamin dose were determined at 1: 21/2 difference between the groups. Then its acute toxic effect was tested by gavage using different doses of the multi-vitamin. The results showed that LD50 of the drug on mice was 2.49g/kg; LD50's 95% confidence interval was 2.05 3.04 g / kg. No abnormal change could be found by anatomizing the dead animals and observed their heart, liver, spleen, lung, kidney and other major organs. The long-term toxic effects of multi-vitamin were tested by using different doses of multi-vitamin (249.287mg/kg,124.643 mg/kg,62.322 mg/kg) to gavage the mice three months. The results showed that each dose group had no abnormal difference in behavior, weight increase and food intake, by comparing with the control group. And there was no significant difference in the principal organ index, such as index of heart, liver, spleen and so on. Also there was no significant difference in various blood parameters. ALT in female mice of test groups was lower than control group's, other blood biochemical parameters had no abnormal difference, after 2 months; Compared with the control group, other blood biochemical parameters had no abnormal difference. The GLU in female mice of test groups was lower than control group's after 3 months; other blood biochemical parameters had no abnormal difference, while the GLU in female mice of dose group was lower than control group's after convalescence; But in male mice, there was no significant difference in blood biochemical parameters. The aged mouse model was established by subcutaneous injection of 5% D-galactose. These mice were simultaneously given by gavage different doses of multi-vitamin (33.35mg/kg,66.7mg/kg,133.4mg/kg). At end of test, content of malondialdehyde (MDA), activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and monoamine oxidase (MAO) in their brain and liver were determined by using the reagent kits. The results showed that MDA contents and MAO activities in all multivitamin-treated groups were significantly lower than the Aged mouse model group. SOD activities in all multi-vitamin-treated groups were significantly higher than the Aged mouse model group. So the multi-vitamin has the obvious anti-aging function.Six kinds of suitable sub-health population were selected as a test object. Method: the vitamins were taken orally after dinner, at end of the trial, the hygienical effect of the multi-vitamins were investigated and analyzed by filling out information feedback form. The results showed the multi-vitamin is very effective for preventing and curing the complex syndrome, the intractable skin diseases, the dental diseases and the sequela of injuries, adjuvant remedial effective on hypertension and coronary disease. Conclusion: The multi-vitamin had little acute toxicity, essentially no long-term toxic effect, and had anti-aging effect, can used for preventing and curing many kinds of chronic metabolic diseases.
